How to Delete an Album but Keep the Photos on iPhone and on Android

If you want to delete an album but keep the photos, don’t worry! You can easily remove an album while still preserving the photos within it. This article will guide you step by step on how to delete an album but keep the photos.

Step-by-Step Guide for iPhone

  1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Select the album you want to delete.
  3. Tap the “Select” button in the top right corner.
  4. Select all the photos within the album.
  5. Tap the “Share” button in the bottom left corner.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom and select “Save to Files.”
  7. Choose the location where you want to save the photos and tap “Add.”
  8. Go back to the Photos app and delete the original album.
  9. Your photos are now saved to your chosen location and the album has been deleted.

Note: When you delete an album, it will only remove the album itself, not the actual photos. The photos will still be saved in your iPhone’s Photos app and any other locations where they have been saved.
